Not a medical device
SummitPulse is a fitness and activity tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or monitor any medical condition, and nothing it displays is medical advice. Heart-rate readings, calorie figures and effort metrics are estimates from consumer sensors and models — treat them as approximate, and talk to a clinician about anything health-related.
Not for navigation
The app records where you went. It does not route, navigate, or tell you where to go, and its map is a record rather than a guide. Carry proper navigation for the terrain you are on.
Not for emergencies
Do not rely on this app in an emergency. It has no emergency calling, no incident detection, and no way to summon help. Batteries die, signal disappears, and software fails.
Vehicle detection is a guess
When a recording looks like vehicle travel the app pauses and asks you. It is a heuristic, it is wrong in both directions sometimes, and it is never presented as a determination of what you were actually doing.
Privacy policy and terms
The binding privacy policy and terms of service ship with the app at release. What the app does with your data today is described on the Privacy page.
